I can agree with the comments regarding Dark Messiah - the recent playable demo was absolutely fantastic. Dipping the bow into a flame then shooting orcs is great fun! It's a shame the demo ends where it does.

Currently downloading the LSW2 demo, along with Caeser IV, as I had III pre-installed on an old laptop I purchased about 5 years ago. It's been a while... |

I just love how real it feels, I was having fun just running about, usually I detest headbob as it feels so unrealistic, but in this game it's amazing. I could swear that with every heavy footstep I made and every jump I took, my mouse and keyboard were actually vibrating. That says something for a game that engroses you so much that you think you can feel every movement. Then the combat, simply WOW, I'm sure the RPG aspect of Dark Messiah won't be so amazing as Oblivions, but the combat is fantastic, this game is a dungeon crawler at heart. In the demo I just love sneaking up on a guard looking over the cliff, plunging my dagger into his neck and then watching him tumbe down a huge casam. I'm also really looking foreward to ceasar IV (there have been alot of failed attempts at this game in recent months) and lego star wars 2 looks awesome. |

Uhh... isn't it "Caesar IV"?
Oh, and the girl in the screenshot for Dark Messiah was certainly easy on the eyes.

Garside - Keep plugging away at LSW 1. If you complete the whole thing, you unlock the first scene from "Episode 4: A New Hope".
(Star Wars itself) That's the bit where Vader captures Leia - and YOU are Vader!

Thanks for the Lego Star Wars link
As you said, Star wars with Lego characters can't help but be funny

I think the comparison with elder scrolls is irelevent as might and magic dosen't let the player make choices like morrowind. On the surface they may be simlar but beneath one is choice and the other is a story.

I can't wait for LSW2. That looks awesome. I'll have to download the demo tonight.
It'll be interesting to see what the guys who made Red Vs Blue do with this.

If you've got steam check out the three videos that are on there for it now, they look excellent. Each on is about the different "classes" you can be, warrior, assassin and mage, and shows off some of the more advanced moves and equipment you can use (for instance, an assassin well trained with the bow can shoot an arrow with a rope attached that you can climb). |

I have to say im looking forward to all of these games, along with spore and supreme commander infact im looking into getting a control pad just for lego starwars, since control using the keyboard in the demo was very awkward.
But if any of them require steam (which i have a feeling at least one will) then i will have to refrain from buying them. Although i like Half life 2 and as a result have steam on my computer, i find it to be the most anoying piece of software possible, it starts up with windows by default, constantly downloads updates without asking me and insists on contacting valve each time i want to play a game. Half the time the thing crashes meaning i cant play the game i want to aswell. I know you can stop it from starting with windows and automaticaly downloading updates but they dont make it a simple task and for most people they just put up with it slowing down their machine. There is no need for steam, why cant they just have a decent website and a seperate update system for each game.
