Always good to see companies co-operating on this sort of thing

Cisco knows how to due one thing well... Pass packets FAST & Secure, but traditionally there stuff does not play well with Microsoft. As anyone who as ever used CWSI can attest to.
Microsoft on the other hand HAD to rewrite its network code. Forget security, Windows has long been the bottle neck of all network traffic. Hopefully in addition to improving security they can increase throughput, and maybe just maybe do a little collaboration and come up with a viable vlan management solution. VLMS+DHCP+Port security would make my job infinitely easier!!! Oh yeah and since I'm apparently in dream land how about native dot1q/pagp/lacp support. True Broadcom, Intel, Compaq all have apps for teaming. However there performance is still sub par! Don’t even get me started on IPv6 and Fast TCP… |
