Could you soon insure your iTunes?

Sounds good to me. Loosing registration codes is part of the reason I always get a CD or DVD of software, that way I won't loose it nearly as easily and its also easy to put onto more than one computer.

Registration codes? Bah.
erm...
That's because I stick to free software, of course But I've always hated the concept of download-to-own software for that reason, except for stores that are designed well enough to either a) have two different executables, one trial and one registered, or b) have your reg codes stored with your account data so you can get them back. Though part of my plan with re-casing and re-labeling all of my movies and software and whatnot is to put the serial keys and reg codes right in the DB that the covers are printed from, that way they're right on the case. As long as I don't lose the DB file, I'm fine.

afaik, all of the digital music stores are 'buy once and back it up'. iTunes even tells you to make a backup copy after you finish the purchase (or it does on my freebies anyways)
