Well, it's possible, but wouldnt the site demand adequate proof? I mean, it's a nice site, they know what they are doing - in theory if you try hard enough, you should be able to get it that high..

Hmm, I certainly wouldn't believe it off just reading text on a web page.. I'd want to see snapshots of POST screens, the cooling setup etc before I'd even raise an eyebrow.

I dont think its fake, the must demand proof of something that high. It is a custom motherboard and stuff though. A bus speed higher than P4, hmmmm™

next to anything on the net can be faked, and that looks way too high to be true to me, thats running 256% over stock, even the % over stock speed looks dodgy

I have to say that I am almost 100% sure that that is fake. I've recently seen some people make huge efforts to fake Sandra scores, POST snapshots and 3dmark screenshots and it is all possible...

The score does look v. impressive but I doubt it

r.

p.s. there are more than a few suspicious things... why is the 3dmark 2001 score so low? Low you say... well yes, a 2.5Ghz P4 with a barely overclocked gf3 can do 10000, a 3.7Ghz proc (ish - I forget) should be able to do 18k+! Anyway I don't think we were supposed tot ake it seriously...

DirectX 9 is currently available for ms beta testers and there's a public sign up for it... so there's bound to be lots and lots of copies of it flying around on warez sites and the lark.

The physics behind those number just aren't possible. I know Intel has a 3 gig prototype but, I doubt this guys has one...plus theirs is overclocked as well. Anyways I only saw one celeron 300 that doubled it's rate and that guy was pretty good.

It is a fake.
