it'll sell more on controversy that actually being any good., as with manhunt.

doesnt look like a very long game, and wouldnt seem to have the longterm play you can have with a gta game where you can just drive around killing people.

I dunno, wasn't THAT violent compared to oh.... Soldier Of Fortune 2? You could shoot arms and legs off, there are bones sticking out, you could cut skin from people's faces etc.

I didn't get from that review what the actual 'mission' is in the game. Can someone enlighten me?

There isn't one mission. It's a series of missions in a similar style to GTA.Essentially, lots of small tasks that build up a storyline.

Bah, that's exactly when you kick 'em hardest. Hasn't being ambushed and backstabbed in video games taught you anything?

Agreed on the blurry story part. what's the jist/goal of it? Is it just "i'm stuck here and i've got some chips on my shoulder so i'm setting the world right" or?

Is it only known as Canis Canem Edit in the UK? Here in the US, I saw an ad for Bully, but it mentioned nothing of the other, newer name.

Nice and balanced article though. A 9 does seem a bit optimistic, but hey... de gustibus non est disputandum (seeing as we're going Latin )

Canis Canem Edit? What the hell does that mean?

And yeah, I'm pretty sure it's Bully in the US still.

It's latin for Dog Eat Dog. They should really teach latin in schools again.

Even in English, it's a terrible title.

Better than 'Irritating Stick', 'Catechumen', 'Lee Trevino's Fighting Golf', or 'XEXYZ'.

Come to think of it, Canis Canem Edit might not be half bad of a name, in present company...

I'm loving how controversial this game is, it exposes the hypocrisy and stupidity of the anti-gaming lobby. We're looking at a game with no serious violence, no death, nothing close to the levels of violence we'd expect from, for instance, Battlefield 2142 or America's Army, and yet people are raising a stink. It's a virtuoso gambit from Rockstar. The people expected controversy and it's not even an 18 certificate. Keith Vas and Patricia Hewitt can blow this out their arse.

a report stating that Dixon Stores Group (the company behind PC World, Currys and Currys.digital) would not sell the game in any of its stores.
I've noticed that it's been banned from stores that people wouldn't trust their cats with, let alone a broken PC. Half-life 2 was £35 quid last time I checked in PC World.

Those antifun people are stupid. I never would have given this game a second glance if not for the controversy. now Im quite interested to know if theres a pc version coming since i dont have a ps2. though i could live without the hot boy on boy action but maybe thats just me.
