hehe, mine was dispatched yesterday evening so I'm hoping to see it tomorrow...! then it gets wrapped up and I have to wait a coupla weeks.

Seems like a few places are beginning to get them back in stock.

Wftw!

For the Wii!

Fortunately, because it’s not a real handcuff (he bought it from an adult store) if he loses the key there is a safety release button.
And for that exact same reason it's probably about as durable as the original strap too being the fact that its made most likley from plain ole plastic

On a side note though I'm pretty pleased that Nintendo have done pretty well.
It goes to show the units popularity, however, ofcourse this could be sucess off the back of the DS' popularity or just the geeks/fanboys.
That and alot of people possibly picked it up just for Zelda.

Everytime the advert comes on the TV somebody in the room says I really fancy one of those, great marketing by Nintendo.
I would buy one myself but I fear it will sit under the TV unused once the novelty had worn off and I need the money for my DX10 PC early next year anyway.
Seems like a great product for after the pub though and it also seems to be more popular with the ladies than the other consoles

I'm pretty sure that's metal. My concern would be the plastic case of the wiimote coming apart where the chain is attached.

Contrast that with the PoS3 launch where most people bought no games because it was destined for eBay. People bought the Wii because they want to play it, people bought the PoS3 to make a quick buck. Telling, no?

Read about this yesterday on DCemu...go Nintendo!

[EDIT] and the DS is doing pretty well too; just over half-a-million units sold in Europe last week!

325 K sold is alot of Wii's. Also alot of royalties paid out if Interlink Electronics successfully sue Nintendo over the Wiimote patent.

good for them, and from what I hear the wii console sales have been profitable from day 1? Sounds like nintendo has made the smarter buisness move in this round, but it's still too early to tell

anyways this commercial sums it up http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...wii+commercial

law of supply and demand, the ps3 was in short supply for high demand which dictated a high market price, my japanese friends sister bought one in japan to sell. What's telling is that people with more money than sense bought them for 1.5K on ebay. not sure what the hot launch titles for ps3 are

I've had a Wii since they came out over here in Canada, and it's very easy for just about everyone to pick up.

However, after trying the PS3 demo machine in our local Wal-Mart, and having it hard lock not 30 seconds into a game, I don't think I'll be getting one.

I wouldn't see the real benefit anyways, what with only having an SD TV.

325k flies can't be wrong - **** is good

In my opinion the point with consoles is to get the highest quality image to games with a low(er) price.. Now I'm definitely not an expert but the screenshots I've seen from Wii games (CoD3 for example) are simply terrible.

Keeping this mind I'd say most of the Wii-buyers are HC-Nintendofans who have played with Nintendos all Mario/Zelda games for the last 10 years and so want also the newest console. Other half of the buyers are just interested in the odd remote

(disclaimer: this is MY opinion.)
