The cooling performance is incredible, I can't believe how hot the air cooled GTX can perform at under full load 90c!

Oh and did I say NEED!

considering the small premium over just the card and block on there own id say its worth getting this one already done and your ready to roll. in fact i cant see why anyone would buy them seperate unless they can get really great deals on the bits.. any word on a GTS watercooled as im sure there would be people who want that

If you want a GTS to be watercooled, then you would need a GTS block, some are around, www.ekwaterblocks.com have them as i found out but its shipping from EK direct, as for the GTX, WOW thats some impressive card, Tim, please tell me how you got a Qx6700, i want one, tis not fair

£70 quid a card is quite a saving over that one especially when you'd probably buy two, all GTXs are the same (cheapest I have found is £372 and typically < £80 for a waterblock once the fuss has died down) why pay a premium, you get a 12 month warranty with everything, in 12-18 months I'd probably be buying a 9900 or something

How do you get BF2142 to run @ 1920 x 1200?

You do it the same way as you do it in Battlefield 2, via command line shortcut - it doesn't change the field of view though. DICE disabled field of view adjustments because they feel that it gives an advantage to those with a widescreen monitor.

Create a new shortcut and right click it, click on properties and then where it says target use the following commands:

"<BF2142 install directory>\" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1920 +szy 1200

HTH

Awesome Review.

Doesnt anyone think these will be going down in price when Vista comes out (with DX10)?

Maybe save a hundred or so by waiting an month?

You might save some money if you wait, as always, but it's already dropped by ~£60 since launch. I guess the pre-overclocked cards might push its price down a little more, but I'm not sure how far because I'm told that demand is still incredibly high for it (not surprisingly, IMO) - demand increased with the £60 price drop.

I'm nVidia fanboy and 8000 series amazes me, but I can't wait for Bit-Tech to test Ati R600 uhhh I heard that thing owns 8800.

Maybe the ressurection of nvidia vs Ati(AMD :/ ) battle will pull down prices, because considering that for few hundred bucks 7900GT will do so much in performance/value perspective, that these top of the end cards are a bit too much. But well it has always been this way (always as in after the video card companies started fixing prices)

Damn, that's some impressive hardware.

I dunno if I'd choose that block though when there are the uber EK & SilenX blocks, the clean lines of the Aqua Computer block, or the as yet to be released 4mm thick Alphacool all-in-one to consider.

Nice card! Lookswise, though, I still prefer my XFX 7950 GT.

But what is this card really good for? Are better overclocks all you get for the price premium?

Buy the block and card separtedly save you only about $50 with GTXs runing in the range of $590-$650 and the the block is running direct from dangerden $130
I Currently using it with a evga card and it works great just need to some final adjustments to a case fan and then in game tweaks after a little bit of Overclocking. Now i just need the to upgrade from my 24 to the 30
