Hmmm, depending on the price I may just get one of these, unless AMD has its quad out by the end of Q2?

Obviously. Once more we see that sufficiently advanced physics is indistinguishable from getting really stoned. From here

Probably a dumb question, but what do you mean by "native"? As in the doubling of dual cores as opposed to a quad core chip designed from the ground up?

Exactly. A native quad core chip will have four seperate cores woking together in a dedicated architecture, as opposed to two dual cores kludged together.

I'm really not in any hurry to upgrade, but when i di it will be AMD all the way.

Well 4x4 isn't exactly what I'd call native. I just wish Intel could stop using the damn FSB and go hypertransport (Well, Intel branded equivilent)

Not native, but still cool. Best thing about quad(even non-native) is that it should push down C2D prices which means we can all get better cores.

Amen to that. A mortgage and kids means I can never buy the top of the line stuff. Buy buying one step down, I've gotten some awesome deals and some pretty darn good systems over the years!5t7t

Native quad core would get my attention though!
