MCE 2005

OK so i finally got me a copy of MCE 2005 to try and i like it except for one thing. The only remote i have is the 45 button hauppage one that came with my tuner. I was wondering if there is a way to make it work with MCE or should i just get something like a MCE remote and one of those logitech harmony remotes.

Thanks,

Lcdguy

Yes there is, you need to modify the irremote.ini file. I vaguely remember seeing a script for this but I cannot remember where.

OK found it clicky here

Spot on herbs.
In fact, if you're anything like me this is one of the first things you backup just in case you want to reinstall.

well that did the trick except now i am using media portal instead of media center as MCE and my VFD's drivers don't play nice (computer BSOD's) but i use media portals VFD controller it works perfectly. for opensource
