The 6-bit bit put me off, the 2 extra inches will make a difference though. How does it compare to the 20" dell?

Obviously. Once more we see that sufficiently advanced physics is indistinguishable from getting really stoned. From here

Ey?

Looks alright, would probably rather buy something with extra inputs though.

the foot seems better than the one in my VX2025WM, but other than that.. Naah. I'm seeing an evolution similar to the digital cameras. Normal users just want huge screens, even if they look worse than a bit smaller ones. More inches = GOOD, low latency = GOOD and the rest doesn't matter.

That's a shame.

I've never used a 6-bit panel, is it really that much worse?

Is .5 million less colours that noticable outside of professional image editing?

bah, I think I prefer my 22' Dell (no speakers included but has HDCP support if I ever need it + slightly better specs too).

Edit: wait for a sale though (lists @ CA$399 but was on sale for CA$329 and even CA$299 )

I love the minimalistic design of the Dell display.. Definitely looks better than the fatso viewsonic.

The built-in speakers really are useless, I didn't even know I had those before I checked after reading this topic

Nice to see more monitors coming out that aren't designed for use with a magnifying glass.

I got a 19" TFT over a 17" one purely because it would be easier on the eye. 27" would be nice.

agreed 100%

I recall many moons ago everyone used to say "don't get a 19, the look pants the pixels are soooo big yadda yadda yadda 17 roxorz your soxorz etc". I must say that I didn't see the problem, just sit further back from the screen and its much more comfortable than a smaller screen closer up. In the past couple months I went from 3x 17" screens to just a 22" and a 19" and its far more pleasant. (though I must admit that I'm missing the 3rd screen, and may well have to get another 19" to flank the 22 )

Did have a glance at this Viewsonic one when I was looking for the 22" as well iirc, but its looks put me straight off and I went for a samsung.
