An early entry from me, although I have a couple of other ideas floating around so this may well get replaced.

So I stared it for a while waiting for that "Oooooh yeah, that's what it is. Of course, it's so obvious now" but it never came.

    :worried: :(

Great colours and like the use of negative space regardless.

I like it, but a bit too much of the space for me though. If it was 50/50 it would work.

I like the blue reflections, they give the picture an air of mystery. As bindibadgi said, perhaps have more of the 'glass' (but not enough to show the other side/edge of it) and zoom in a small amount.

Btw, I'm not sure how compressed or resized the image is, but it's showing some jaggies. Whether that's intentional or not, I'm not sure, but thought you ought to know.

And some halo-ing. Looks a touch oversharpened to me. :)

Love that a lot more than the first one. It's more interesting as a whole, and the colours to me seem less flat.

    but what is it?

looks like a cut lead crystal goblet to me, too "rounded" to be something like a whiskey tumbler (although I could be wrong).

Also with reguards to the lighting it just says "Vegas!!!" to me, nice and vibrant. Clearly a high rollers champage flute :)

Yeah the first one seemed too flat to me as well, this turned out a bit better.

Pretty nice shot technically, however the blue light (from a window it looks like?) is pretty distracting imho.

Much prefer the second effort to the first. :thumb: Nice lighting and better overall contrast. Is also easier to make out what it is. :D
