Trying out some new lighting techniques this evening and came up with the following for this month's POTM:

It really does work
I would liked to have seen a clearer reflection if at all possible.

I've actually flattened the reflection a little in PP because it was too overpowering.
Fod: I'll post a pic of setup in a bit. [EDiT] Setup can be seen in my Forks and Balls thread.

Nice, I love the concept and execution.
Side notes - what lens is that, and how'd you take a shot of what was in the viewfinder? And, uh, is that sitting on a laptop propped up by a phone?

To answer your questions:
- Lens: Canon EF 24-70L F2.8 USM - Viewfinder: Held my Ixus up the viewfinder and clicked the shutter ![]() - Laptop: It's actually my amp remote, but close. Without it the laptop screen kept tilting backwards and so wasn't flat.

Genius - love the effect of the polarising filter - makes it appear that the reflections are coming from nowhere! You're not just a pretty face, Hwulex - have a cookie!
Did you get that idea from elsewhere, or is it original to you? If original, expect a lot of clones in the near future.
