Wow, looks like the boys done good, then. Good review, btw. Making no mention at all of Half Life 2 is surprising

I might have to buy this.

I think about buying it too. And I'll be happy running it at 16x12 max details and stuff but I don't think it looks that great. Judging from the MP beta. Has graphics improved since that beta? Like in 1-2 months? Don't think so. I think it looks good but it's too dark and too much grey and brown.

Anyways... I'll get it as I'm kind of a FPS junkie.

I played it at the beginning where you must rescue nimble...and i wasnt too impressed. Apologies but it felt very outdated. I agree that the storyline was very very weak, it didnt create any emotion, any attatchment to what was happening.
It felt like just another shooter...i dont know what the big deal about this game was but i didnt see anything that set it apart.

I think maybe im expecting too much, i dont mean to be controversial for the sake of arguing or anything (as im not) but i do think this game is overhyped way too much.
Its attempting to be a combination of Fear and half-life without copying either of the twos best qualitys.
Just another generic shooter to me.

Just my 2cents, apologies if i come across offensive to any diehard fans, i dont mean to be at all.

you played the first intro mission and you feel qualified to say the storyline is weak?

Ooh, sounds like it'll run ok on my lappy then (C2D 2.1Ghz, 2GB, 7900GTX 512) - wootage!

Nice review btw, but I've got to say, I do miss the performance graphs you used to create. They were a really simple and quick way to see FPS across various systems...

Well it felt that way. Im not saying i qualify for anything more than my opinion. Either a game grabs your attention at the start or it doesnt and bores you - This bored me =/

I've read a (perhaps unsubstantiated) rumour that this game has StarForce. If it does, I won't be buying it. Can anyone clear this up? Cheers.

Looks good to me, just placed a pre-order.

Hope it doesn't have StarForce, it's caused me loads of problems in the past.
