I suppose the question stands: What sort of chassis will support this card which shall make users with ther 8800 e-peens beg for physically larger cards, and do you need CF mobo to use this?

Afaik you just need a mobo that doesn't NOT support CF. Basically anything NVIDIA.

The whole point is that you don't need two PCI-Express x16 slots.

It's nice and big and all, but why does it have internal crossfire connectors?
Is that for some quad-gpu action, kind of imitating nVidia?
Anyways, if it is, I sure as hell want to see it in action.

Wow, and I'm not talking warcraft. That thing is massive, bigger than a nanoITX board. I want one, even though I'm in the nVidia camp. So are those heatsinks just tacked on for no reason??? crazy. Looking forward to the review.

this looks like a good card for those who aren't moving to vista anytime soon and like their PCI slots and intel/AMD boards.

Also offers some gaming hope for my AMD RS690 Lanbox scratch build (DX9 games only for it as the stuff needed for 8800GTX's just isn't portable enough.)

I dont see the point in buying an (almost) absolete card.

i don't get the point of such a card (besides proof of concept),

Sapphire should better invest their time and money in getting the top of the line of the r600 cards out with a good (and silent) cooling solution once its released rahter than bothering with x1950 pro based products.......
just my 2 cents though
