Co-op games!

Hello I'm looking for some cool co-op games to play with my girl friend. My scondary pc isn't that fast only a 5900xt and 512mb of ram so nothing too performance hungry like stalker (although it handles games like cod2 etc well).

so far I found a co-op mod for D00M3 which I'm checking out and I have DOOM2 some where and never winter nights (although do I need two copies? for multiplayer on lan)

recommendations appreciated

There's a co-op mod for HL2 if you have that. Not tried it before though.

PCs arn't too great for co-op, but there are a few games out there.

NVN you need two copies I think, since to even get into the network multiplayer you need to log in to the multiplayer server (and hence need a CD-key), at least, that's how it works on NVN2, can't recall too well about NVN1's multiplayer.

EDIT: OMFG that picture is everywhere XD

Try Serious Sam 1 or 2. Either are great for co-op games

I believe rainbow six:vegas has online co-op that you could do over a lan, it is a demanding game though.

I've had fun before playing one of the commandos series (3?) in co-op with a friend.

Absolutely definatly 100% Serious sam 1st and 2nd encounter, (not number 2, you're older pc might struggle). They are the best co-op games I've ever played. Highly entertaining, piss easy to pick up and play, loads of fun ann extrmelely involving and nerve wracking without being really difficult at all thanks to the infinite lives of multiplayer. Seriously, just go play it.

Well I got never winter nights working using a keygen and unplugging the net connection. Very good fun, far more than in single player where I got board very quickly and decided to play morowind instead.

my older pc can defiantly handle serious sam2 so I will go pick that up sometime. Do the expansions for never winter nights support multi player like the original game?

At the moment nvn is rather embarrassing for me as I'm a monk and as such am not especially strong at the start and my girlfriends pet (she's a druid) is out damgeing us both :P

Another vote for serious sam series. They are incredbily fun in coop. Another nice feature about SS coop (infinite ammo, very handy when playing hard of serious difficulty)

Darn, now i want to go play some serious sam.

I'm on the -5 GMT timezone too. Dunno, could be today, in the next few hours, or tomorrow all day, since I have the day off.
