    hey all :naughty:

i started a new project, but , as you can see, the project is nameless
because i didnt decided yet it is the best to

the major target is a small case, so i am using MINI ITX mobo.

    some sketch of the case:

    Front

    Top

    close up on the ring:

    Side

    and inside..

    Back
    [IMG]

    after some shopping:

    nickel led holders:
    and some switch
    [IMG]

    and the third hand device
    [IMG]

in the last week, i had ordered the materials for the project (like alu profiles, perspex strips, perspex cubes, leds, and special ring that create on a lathe

    the rings:
    the big one
    [IMG]

    middle
    [IMG]

    together
    [IMG]

and the small rings (for the switch on the front panel)

    The perspex staff:

the strip for the sides of the case:

and the perspex roll, (i'll make a spacers from this)

    perspex cubes

i had create 2 types of cubes
    1. 20X20X20 (visible)
2.16X16X20 (hidden, it's will be inside the Alu profile)

    the visible cube
    [IMG]

    and the hidden cube
    [IMG]

the result that i want to get is like this:

    the Alu profiles:

    and with the perspex strips

and for the end, some leds that be placed in the hidden perspex cubes

that's it for today guys.. :hip:

looks like it could turn out to be a really nice HTPC, one thing, your intial drawings for this state the height to be 80cm.... im really hoping thats a typo and its 80mm, but then i look and all of your other measurements are in cm aswell.... the length for example is 240cm... thats longer than me..??!!?!!??!

I like the design. Nice sketchup work, looks like you've planned it well and everything will fit nicely. I'm following this one :thumb:

Make sure you know where the fans for the PSU are, what kind of cooling the hard drive will have and what cooler you are putting on the CPU.

Just a warning from someone who's done a custom SFF before :)

I love the design but I'm not too hot on the colour scheme. I kind of like the colour in your sketchup and the yellow is great but I'm not sure about the blue. Oh well I'm sure you'll make it look great. :)

Thank's for the commets guys.. :)

#bindibadgi : the PSU fan is on the rear panel of the case
about the HDD, i dont know yet, maybe it's will be a fan on the top of the case, some kind of HDD coller ( i hope the 80 MM intake fan on the front panel will be enough)

in theoretical method, i didnt to be worry about heat in this case
the core heat output is just 2.5W (40MM fan - stock, and i bought Zalman sink to make it more quiet .
I'll upload some pics of the MB in the next update.

#neji : the theme of the case include ALU in natural color, and yellow perspex,
please, dont relate to the color on the sketch .

    Very, very nice design.

Why don't you use a PicoPSU 120W? It will save you a LOT of space. Also, you could use a laptop dvd drive, saves some space too.
