Good Work Systems Fragpedal Classic

http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/2007/...assic_review/1

The Fragpedal concept sounds cool - buttons for your feet - but whether it will be able to prove itself in our eyes is the real test, so lets see how it measures up.

I could probably build something more solid for less cost with the PCB layout and a weekend or two with my home-built CNC machine

looks like they were just way to eager to show you an incomplete product.
would have been better to just get 4 electric-keyboard pedals and wire them to work on USB.

Having had a play with these myself, I agree. They are terrible totally no feedback when you press on them.

Concept sounds quite cool, I've always wished I had an extra hand or two to make gaming that much easier, but it's a shame the didn't do it right.

For some reason Gizmodo were very pleased with it if I remember correctly, with Kotaku linking them and saying they thought it was good. I think it was probably a case of them not trying it out properly if at all and thinking the concept was cool. There are some definite design flaws that are inescapable as soon as you try and use it.

I agree with Veles. I have some nerve damage in some of my fingers, making it difficult to become proficient at hitting keys with my ring finger and pinky finger. I had thought of having foot pedals for some extra buttons. I thought it would be especially cool for a game like F.E.A.R., to assign the melee kick to a foot pedal. Its a good idea, but the application seems to miss the mark.

have you seen the 'how to use the mouse' video ? It might be true that it's precise for those who 'fingermouse' , but there is no denying that it must be incredibly uncomfortable

Dumbest thing I've ever seen.

It's like having a joystick to drive a car.

That mouse looks like a prop from the set of a bad sci-fi movie.

I can't help but laugh at this, I have not seen such a badly designed and built product for quite a while. Most amusing
