MSI P35 Platinum
http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/200...p35_platinum/1
MSI adds a new Intel P35 motherboard to its line up with the P35 Platinum. Among other modern technologies we all know heatpipes are great, but this time, they're circular.

Hm. The extra spacing between those four USB ports (where the Parallel port used to be) will be useful. More than once I've had some USB peripheral or another block the second port. Which can prove to be a bit of a pain...

![]() Doug: I'll send you a PM later. And for everyone: I know I missed Power Consumption now I'll drop it in later.

it's hard to find the coaxial S/PDIF pin out on the board layout side
only the picture on the last side helped me with that. I miss one of those red arrows there and at the floppy port (i found this one )

What a polite review and quality product. How were the mobo temps in comparison to Gig's 6 Quad?

I have been wondering about this board since it came up on the ads, was like wow, look at those heatpipes.

Power Consumption figures added.
I had to wrestle the board off the guys at TR for 20 minutes cause they were using it now.

Someone over at XS forums has got one of these to very reliably hit 600fsb with air cooling, no vMods and a ghetto 80mm delta shoved onto the heatpipes.
If thats the case, it could be a very popula OC'ing board eventually. |
