Halo 3, the final game in the trilogy (obviously) has just gone gold. The release date for one of the years most anticipated releases is now only a few weeks away

I have not decided where to pre order yet. I have a £5 voucher for game but the tin edition at game is £5 more than anywhere else

so I would not benefit using my voucher. I will get though

Now unless im mistaken, and various places on tiniternet are wrong, the UK release is the 26th of September, not the 25th, 25th would be the US launch, not ours unfortunatley.

Still, can't wait for this game, well, i can, i just go to work till its release, and never go back till i complete it.

Doug you don't have a hope and you can't say it looked bland as the beta wasn't the finished product, plus the fact that you don't use the chief in multiplayer now.

People say "gone gold" because the master disk containing the final product meant for release and sale that goes to the CD factory is or has been golden (the surface, that is, not necessarily the entire disk).

Christ, this is so depressing...im not the slightest bit excited by Halo 3, and i don't know why.

Back in 2001 i bought a Xbox on launch day just to play Halo, was rabid with excitement for Halo 2....but Halo 3 is simply not doing it for me.

I guess Halo 2 and its shortcomings left scars.

Nah I liked it in the Halo 3 beta, it was deffinitely improved a lot, loads more detail on the armour and stuff, but GoW graphics just wouldn't fit, thats not what Halo looks like. And yes, they have worked on the graphics since the beta, they do look a lot more "next gen" now.

Don't know if im looking forward to this ill more than likely buy it but, played Halo on the PC found it very repatative and plain compared to the original HL and Halo 2 I never played.
