http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2007/09...ht_simulator/1

Google Earth, the globe-viewing toy from the God of Search Engines, has just been updated and includes a new 3D flight simulator.

the A must be in caps. And make sure you've got the latest version of Google earth.
It's nice, but the controls (mouse/keyboard) are just awful. And the scenery load too slowly compared to the speed of the planes.
Controls : http://earth.google.com/intl/en/user...sim/index.html

Serious Sam for the easter egg win! From the truley bizzare (the supporters of the game as little gnome people) to blatent digs (coming across a decomposed, strung up Duke Nukem: "Man, he's been there... forever!"). Though the Dopefish was pretty cool.

Personally, I like the hidden room in the hidden room in Duke Nukem 3D. 3rd episode somewhere, you can find a hidden replica of the bridge from The Next Generation version of the Enterprise. Go into the ready room though, find an extra hidden secret room - which Duke titles 'The Really Ready Room'.

I think, google may just follow nasa's worldwind which has introduced flight sim serveral months ago.
Though nasa annouced that the worldwind is NOT a competitor to GoogleEarth, it seems that google takes that seriously.

I dont see why google doesn't just merge its maps with flightsim. It already has the elevation data to boot.
