Well done. Only with something like that can you really get away with slapping it square in the middle of the frame. I like the brightness in the top area of the window, intentional or not it looks really great.

It is, and isn't in the middle of the frame.
The balance isn't, the object is

Perfect

I never actually stated what I was talking about. I meant the object.

Thanks for the comments so far

I didn't intend for the windows to get blown out but lighting in there was awful...I can live with it

Great picture! I'm still getting nowhere with the theme. Good take on it.

This is from the Bristol Water pumping station at Blagdon Lake, sure I've seen some elsewhere but not since I was a kid.

Beautiful picture. The balance is perfect, the subject is much better than the half-dozen computer parts shots, and the lighting is spot on. If I could get a print, I probably would.

I like the idea for this one. Like Techno-Dann, I, too, find this more interesting than photos of PCBs. That said, I'm going against the crowd here in that I'm not too keen on the lighting. I think the extremely bright highlight from the window draws my attention away from the subject. As the window draws my eye to the background, I find myself looking around at all the things back there. I think throwing the background out of focus would have helped isolate the subject and subdue the blown highlight.

That said, I still like the take on the theme.

Agreed, prefer the second version. As others have said, nice to see a refreshing take on the theme.
