Westmere is Nehalem's successor

Gelsinger has revealed that Westmere is Nehalem's successor. It's an evolution of the Nehalem design and will include a few refinements.

This reminds me a lot of Via's Padlock security. I know Intel and Via were fighting some patent infringement suits earlier. Maybe they've finally decided to play nice and cross license.
