Now that's racist! Why would the game not be set in Africa?! Is Africa not good enough for a game to be set there?!

    Sounds cool though. Can't wait!

The only racist about it, is to leave the PC gamers in the dark...

Out of interest, if the tables were turned so that one black soldier against a rampaging horde of white zombies (perhaps Chelsea fans :p ) would it be deemed racist? It seems like such claims are a little OTT in all honesty, come on people their zombies!

Im actually looking forward to this game. I only played resident evil 2 (Code veronica?) which my brother bought on PS1. I got bored of running backward and forwards. I think I bought the original RE1 a few years after and didnt get into it either.

Im hoping this will be different and been watching the trailers and hope this is good.

i mean the idea of a virus getting let loose in Africa for experimental purposes doesn't sound like the farthest from the truth. so the idea of hoard of zombies to be over running Africa, seems pretty likely to me if it were to happen.

"and is considered to be many to be the birth of the Zombie myth. "

Is it just me that thinks that sentence makes no sense at all.

and is considered BY many to be the birth PLACE of the Zombie myth - perhaps?

I highly recommend anyone who skipped over the "worst voice acting in the world" link to watch it now. I honestly don't remember it being that bad, pretty funny though :)

they already have that game it's called Jena 6

oh sorry that's in really bad taste and a little too soon

as a black person with family FROM haiti I find nothing wrong with a game set the killing zombies, in fact I thank anyone who rids the world of zombies, and if anything I think it will give most ignorant american kids a small taste of haitian culture etc, I'm guessing most kids couldn't point to it on a map

I did not follow any of the controversy on this other than to read the headlines but who thought this was set in Africa? Can someone please enlighten me as to who exactly thought this? I thought that it was pretty apparent from the trailer that this was set in the Caribbean. Haven't these people at least seen Live and Let Die? This lack knowledge of cultural geography is startling. I can't say that I am too impressed.

I am an American kid (was actually, I'm not such a kid anymore but still American:D) and we are not as ignorant as you might imagine. Granted, I wouldn't have been able to place this as Haiti and not the Dominican Republic off the top of my head which speaks to my ignorance of local cultural geography. However, lets keep the stereotypes and name calling to a minimum. Thanks. :dremel:
