Lian-Li V350

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/200...lian-li_v350/1

We love all cases great and small, so it's only fair that we have a look at the new MicroATX case from Lian-Li. But is the V350 a new miniature champ or just a very small shrimp in a very big ocean? We find out in our comprehensive review of this brand new case.

"Taiwanese equivalent of John Romero running around shouting that β€œDesign is law!” as minions churn out incredibly gorgeous PC cases of all shapes and sizes."

John Romero shouting design is law??? I just can't work out how horrifying that sentence is. John Romero, is and always will be a complete muppet so please NO!

Interesting case though but not a patch on a shuttle it seems.

Believe it or not, Design is Law used to be the slogan of Ion Storm.

We've found a newest height of geekdom - quoting a slogan from a late 90s game and referencing a PA cartoon parodying it.

Well, it's obviously three larger pictures shrunk down into one. I tried for ages to get the balances and levels and detail just right on the larger pictures, but couldn't quite manage it. In the end, since the first two were already seen essentially I just skipped it to the middle pic and hope nobody would mind. If its that important to you I can sort out the other two pics individually.

Joe, that's most definitely a firewire 400 port on the side, not an e-SATA (bottom of p2, there was also a typo somewhere, on instead of one or something).

Anyways, nice review. I wouldn't mind seeing that kind of mini-case being used for that mid-tower Mac thing all of my fellow fanboy breathren have been hoping for *braces for impact*

those cases are made to put hw in once, place it in your grannies living room and never open it again...

so it doesnt really matter if they arent the easiest ones to work with on the inside....

I had a v300 and got rid of it because of those stupid little screws on both side pannels. They really are a PITA to get in when the whole frame is bent slightly.

On a plus, they have rubber mounted HDDs so they shouldn't shake rattle an roll and two nice intake fans.

First step after assembling a system in a Lian-Li case (or before if you want to save some extra work), is to replace all the fans that came with the case with something like the Silenx or Silverstone low noise high cfrm units. The stock Lian-Li fans are quiet but provide virtually no air flow. It is also worth noting that removing the stock intake and exhaust aperatures on the case (a hole saw works well), will signifcantly increase the efficiency of the replacement fans. Lian-Li cases are elegant, however they do require modification to provide effective cooling.

Maybe we should try to blend the case.

I never understood the point of having your optical drive on the side, now you can't put it on a corner a desk which is in the corner of a wall.a either you will not have access to the power button or the optical drive tray.

huh well its not to bad of a case when your really look at it, and looks like there is a little more room to work with then the smaller SF cases out there, Im currently using a TT Lanbox Lite and its a nice size but a tight fit to work with everything and I shoved a water cooling system in mine too lol
