Interplay, makers of the original Fallout games, are officially back in business and are hard at work on the Fallout 3 MMO at the new internal studio, allegedly.

Fantastic news, I'd love to see something new from the guys like Anderson and Boyarsky - Gaming Visionaries.

Shame it's an MMO, though.. The cash-in genre of gaming..

Here's to hoping they have plans for another well-written, plot-driven single-player masterpiece.

Hell yes! I love Interplay! I have no doubt the crew over in Bethesda (Hell Yeah Maryland! Represent!) will make Fallout 3 amazing though. I'm not so much excited for the Fallout MMO though as I am for the games Interplay could make after they get going again. Does anyone know who owns the rights to the Freespace franchise? I'm going to guess its THQ because they acquired the Volition (the company that developed the Freespace games) after Interplay went under.

Just a pipe dream, but would be over the moon if they did a modern version of M.A.X . The second one was pants but the first was awesome. Turn based strategy nirvana.
