[11/07] Decay 4
![]() Probably best not to ask why it's called 'Decay 4'. Umm, let's see. EXIF tells me things like a very clever guru: Nikon D80, f/13, 1.6sec, ISO 100, 42mm (aka 63mm for those with fancy full-frame sensors or not-so-fancy 35mm film, unless it's velvia, in which case it's very nice). Lens was the infamous D40 kit lens, 18-55mm EDII. I did mess around with Photoshop a little, lemme see what history says: Some clone stamping (background detail) Some hue/saturation adjustments. Some noise. Black & white conversion. And a crop. |

The processing is very nice. It has an almost sophisticated feel to it, like the dark, quiet corner of some coffee shop. Perfect for getting in some quiet reading. The composition is pretty well balanced, and my eye is more or less kept inside the frame, and I keep returning to the fruit.
I can see the decaying fruit, but I'm not sure how it relates to the rest of the image. If I had to guess, I'd say that the decaying fruit could represent "lower class" society, and you are juxtaposing it with the "upper class" accessories. -monkey

Sorry for being away for a while, was on semi-holiday
![]() I went down the 'arty-farty' path with this one - it's meant to get you thinking as opposed to outright having a specific message you're meant to pick up. What you see, well, is what you're meant to see in this case ![]() The book is an ActionScript reference. I'm sure anyone who's gone through learning something like ActionScript will know all about this image
