The State of Texas has just filed a lawsuit against Future US, the operator of GamesRadar, over data-handling and child privacy laws.

but I feel they should pursue legal action like shutting them down, not law suits... enough with the damned law suits. all these lawsuits and patent infringement cases are going over the top..... like the pirate with the steering wheel in his pants "arggg it be drivin' me nuts"

there is no monetary value to a kid seeing a violent game. If they were really concerned they would just say "comply or were shutting you down" not "lets sue the pants off them on behalf of people that will never see the money, most of which probably haven't even been to the site."

I see GamesRadar's registration is down. Probably revamping it before it get accused of being racist or something.

Doesn't surprise me, it's Texas. And if Full Metal Jacket taught me anything, it's that anything from Texas is either a steer or....

This country is sue-happy. I can't wait for the day when someone inadvertently sues them selves. Oh wait, the citizens of the State of Alabama did a few years ago over the school system when Clinton was Governor.

I rest my case.
