one thing i love about Gigabyte boards is it me or do all of there motherboards come with 8 Sata + 1 IDE connectors now, that be perfect for my server
Never used an ga mobo (mostly due to the fact it ant on my trade list i order stuff from) but thay seem grate mobos lately

i thought P35 don't support PCIe 2.0. first Intel chipset to support it is x38.

Nope. P35 has PCI-E 2.0 in it - Intel itself has confirmed that at least twice with us. The only thing that we can think of is that the P35 designs were closely related to the P965 designs which meant boards could be turned around faster (a necessary factor at a major launch) and 2.0 qualification would be more cost intensive and even less necessary than X38 given the market and performance difference between Gen-1 and Gen-2.
