No high-end mobility card from AMD/ATI? It seems like AMD and ATI have conceded the high-end to their competitors in all arenas other then AM2+ chipsets.

Given the fact that the 3870 isn't really that far behind the 8800GT but has better power consumption I think that a mobile version of that might not be too bad. I'm just always disappointed by the performance of mobile parts compared to their similarly named desktop counterparts.

Wouldn't mind seeing some stats and prices on the 3600's with crossfire.

Main problem is cooling and power. always takes atleast ˝ year before they make a mobile counterpart of an desktop gfx, because they´ve by then improved it for low power useage.

My understanding is that they used technologies from their mobile parts to decrease the power use of the desktop parts. I'm hoping that this might mean an easier, and faster, transition.

I think AMD could produce a 256 bit interface card easily! Why not create one and sell it on the cheap?
