MSI shows E8500 Wolfdale overclocking

http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2008/01...le_overclock/1

MSI has shown off a revised motherboard with EFI firmware, but we've noticed that hidden in the pictures is a 45nm E8500 dual-core "Wolfdale" that overclocks pretty well...

EFI makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. EFI and a really high FSB is just awesome!

Very nice, i would love to see EFI soon

Server motherboards and macs have been using it for a long time, mainly cos Linux and OSX have supported EFI for a long time

Typical windows slowing everyone down - sigh

I guess i'm failing to see how windows is responsible for EFI to come so late in PC's ? Unless it requires vista to work (somehow) ?

Wonder if it would have worked with the 9.5x multiplier on. That's just over 5ghz on a core2duo...
