Burnout Paradise DLC detailed
http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2008/02...dlc_detailed/1
Wondering why Burnout Paradise needed a HDD on the Xbox 360? Us too. It's a good thing that EA has let us know then.

That's a bloody good idea - it's a shame it requires HD space, but at least they didn't do it for nothing!

That's good, sounds similar to how it worked in PGR3 whereby if the host of an online game had a downloaded car they could force everyone into the same car despite not having the download pack.

Anyone here got burnout paradise? My gf likes these Fast and Furious type games and I'm wondering which is better, burnout paradise or NFS Pro Street. Played both demos but the don't really give you any idea what the whole game is like. From the demos I'm leaning towards burnout.

i'd say that burnout paradise is far better than nfs pro street... never played burnout due to it not being on the pc, but pro street is rubbish, pretty much anything will be better.

By a HUGE margin. Shop with confidence - buy her Burnout Paradise. Then get her to sign up to the bit-tech Xbox 360 Leaderboard and the bit-tech Paradise crew can cruise around together scoring achievements
![]() As for the compulsory HDD, I really don't see that as an issue. Anyone with a 360 Core is missing out on so much anyway that I have absolutely no problem in Criterion forcing the issue, justifiably so or not. |

Burnout Paradise is the best arcade racer I've ever played.

In defense of NFS: Pro Street--
Need For Speed: Pro Street is a blending of the more traditional NFS arcade racing franchise, and Grand Turismo. Which is not an easy balance to achieve. Also, the original NFS game was in fact a racing sim and not an arcade racer. So you are right, for an ARCADE racer, Burnout will probably surpass anything. Though I have been a Ridge Racer fan for ages, I'd almost call that a 'tactical' racer cause it takes a lot of time and training to be good in that series. So, in short, I'm not disagreeing that the Burnout series is amazing, but don't sell NFS: Pro Street short just because it wasn't Hot Pursuit 3/Underground 3/Most Wanted 2/Carbon 2/etc... NFS: Pro Street has its good points, its just not a snatch up, grab, and run a few races type game. It takes a bit of patience. Later days.

I know where the new content is going to be added
![]() Well, not for certain, but it's probably a good guess. Off the East of the main land near the wild cats stadium there is an unfinished bridge. It just juts out into nothingness. I bet they stick something new out there. |

I thought developers weren't allowed to require the HDD on the 360?
