Nice b&w. I really like the lonely feeling I get looking at this picture and the reflection really sets it off. At first I didn't see it because I never scrolled down but then I did to post a comment Great stuff.

He he you should've walked over and moved his bike back a few feet to have more bike reflected and have it closer to the puddle

Anyways very nice picture and good DoF use. I like the silent aesthetics in it. Almost like a ballet dancer leaning quietly against a rail.

And now I'm off to see if there's something for me to shoot

So true! Darn pedalists

Anyways your picture gets better and better for each time I look at it. I think especially because this time it's on a monitor that is big enough. Perhaps post a smaller one below or something? The pic really deserves to be seen in full without scrolling.

Replaced with a smaller version. I hadn't really noticed that it was bigger than the screen hehe

Did you shoot in B&W or was it a later conversion?
I have to say that your lens looks really good on paper 18-200 would be perfect focal range for a walk around lens in my world.
The more pics I see the more I tend to think Nikons draw a lot nicer. They somehow seem to draw smoother images.

B+W in the camera, but I used Raw + jpg mode, so I have a raw file too. I've just found since getting the D300 that the camera makes better conversions that I can in lightroom!

The 18-200 is a great lens for everyday use. It doesn't have the quality of the three pro zooms that could replace it, but then it's smaller and cheaper than any of them. Apparently the new sigma version isn't bad, and that will eventually work with canon.
