Touch screen displays
I'm thinking of getting a touch screen monitor (just to mess around with really) but I'm not sure what to look for. I've done a quick search on dabs/ebuyer and these forums (you can't search by tag/filter
) but didn't find anything too helpful. Google searches mostly turn up boring product pages..Any ideas? One requirement is that it must support Linux, not sure what else to look out for other than that

Go on ebay, search for touch screen kit. This will provide you with several sellers selling touch-screen panels for customizing your existing monitor. I got mine for $50 for a 19" panel.
Works great, comes with everything required as well as Linux drivers. Hook it up to USB and you're good to go. You even get them in 16:9 these days. Also, I believe I have seen AC-Ryan selling DIY panels like these as well.

Yeah. We have those at school as well. They are awesome for websurfing
![]() And it's always fun watching teachers use normal whiteboard markers on them. (The normal whiteboard is right beside the smartboard, and both is often used at the same time.)
