faster 4GB DDR2 cheesecake
![]() the psu, well, good for those that want it (assuming it will be same quality as the other corsair psu's), but personally i'm happy with my 750W silverstone DA and corsair 520W for back up comp.

Think of the electric bill!!! 80% efficiency seems a little low, I was expecting with the whole go green thing getting real popular PSU developers would be looking at improving the efficiency as much as possible. When will we see 99.9999% efficient PSUs!!!

The price is actually lower than I thought it would be: Corsair says about £125 ex. VAT in the UK, which translates to around £150 inc.
Hawky: 80 percent efficiency is relatively good for a power supply - check out some of our recent power supply reviews.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting the DDR2 4GB 2x2GB 1066 modules. I was thinking of going to Vista, and I want 4 GB's, and my board won't take 4x1GB modules, or it freaks out.
But these look promising. I'm more or less waiting to see how well the PSC ICs perform.

Hawky
PSUs have very Little to do with the electricity Bill a 1000W psu will run exactly he same as a 500W PSU (with the same efficiency at that load) on a 300W system i would argue the 80+ is now the norm thanks to 80+ certification (any without the certificate are poor psus that would no doubt fry your system before you worry about the efficiency) Electricity bills and energy usage is more of an issue with GPUS CPUs, PSUs have improoved in this regard

That PSU looks like a beast!
As for increased 2x2GB DDR2 kits reaching new speeds.... G.Skill have had PC8000 (1000Mhz) cas5 and PC8500 (1066Mhz) cas5 kits available for some time now. Combine that with the bargain, sub - £100 pricetag and lifetime warranty, what more could you want?

And there goes the environment friendly PSU. When will it stop? Another 24/7 1000w lurking out of the wall. If eveyone would have one, the lights on your ceiling would flicker like the cheap horror movies, only now its for real...
