Work for Introversion

Mark Morris, who wrote a column for us recently, is hiring. Want to go work for Introversion and help make Multiwinia and more? Nows the chance. You have to be good at C++. Full job brief below.

Specific Role

We are located in London Bridge, however we support home working and are flexible with the hours required in the office.

We strongly encourage the creativity of our team and are looking to identify internal talent to take the lead on future games.

We are a small team of eight employees and as we grow there will be excellent opportunities for promotion and experience of other areas of business.

We regularly send delegations to the various Games Conferences around the world (San Francisco, Tokyo, Leipzig, Lyon etc) and there will be the opportunity to be part of these delegations.

Salary

20 – 30k DOE

It's a real shame that games programmers don't get paid well. Perhaps games would be better if they did. I'd love to do it, and could, but the pay is just too low.

Doesn't (most) game developing have Deadlines?

I don't do deadlines. Conveniently, I'm good enough at my job so that they don't matter. But if it all goes belly up, and we miss them, I don't bat an eyelid.

Mind you, I guess I could have worked on Spore????

If you want to make money out of games, you need to own the company. I have worked for other devs, and I've done my own thing. Doing my own thing pays much better.
Its harder work though
