SCi will be cancelling 14 projects that it feels are not an acceptable investment or are not of sufficient quality.
Read more sequels and fewer new ips.

Eidos will also change from a centrally-operated development structure to a studio-lead style, with individual studios focusing on core brands like Tomb Raider, Hitman, Championship Manager and Deus Ex.
Read, we're gonna milk these for all their worth then when the cows dry sell them off so someone else can have a go.

How long will it be until all mainstream producers subscribe to EAs model of business and just produce sequel after sequel

Well, I won't object to more Hitman games... but if new Deus Ex games are as poor as Invisible War...

Yeah. DX2 was a steaming pile. It seems that every so often, Eidos produces HORRID games. Anybody remember TR:AOD, too?

Oh godalmighty - Deus Ex is not a "core brand", it's a computer game. An extremely good one whose legacy was completely buggered by exactly the sort of people who would call it a core brand.

Do these people not understand what's wrong with their thinking?
