Jack Thompson has publicly offered to help publisher EA buy-out his rival, Take-Two, in an odd twist of fate.

I think Jack T has pissed off so many gamers, that any game publisher who associates them selfs with him would be shooting them selfs in the foot. I'm sure EA know that as well, so I don't think EA will even consider working with him.

Argh. Please stop giving this scumbag extra publicity. I think when it is *absolutely* necessary to mention him we should use a degrading alias. That way, it might be funny, it denies him the pleasure of seeing his name all over the interwebs, and google might even pick it up too!

i think Rockstar Games will break off from Take Two before Take Two is bought by anyone, then all EA or Activision will be acquiring is the 2K Games group
How did the offers even come about? i don't remember Take Two actually being in any financial trouble... (unless thats the result of numerous lawsuits?)

maybe Jack's just playing nice in order to get on EA's legal team, since he's about to be pushed off the Florida bar?

I really hope that Take Two doesnt give up..

EA should consider lowering the prices of their games instead of buying other companies, that would make people less angry at them.

I wasn't under the impression this is what EA intended. In fact, I think EA are doing it to take advantage of the 'sinful' ways of Take-Two's GTA franchise and to make loads and loads of $£ due to the hyped potential of GTA4.

And if that's the case, I wouldn't think EA would want to take aboard a nutjob like JT who might, and in all probabilty would, jeopardise their [EA's] financial gains on the GTA series & name.
