Peter Molyneux has hinted that a significant discovery has been made by Lionhead in a secret AI experiment which will have huge effects for the industry.

I think this will (as always) be a nice, maybe even great thing.
I also think he will not shatter the earth this time.

this guy is always talking out of his arse. every feature in every game he's been behind has been touted by him as world-changingly brilliant, and would revolutionise gaming as we know it. of course it always turns out to be a crushing disappointment.

i seriously doubt they have "discovered" anything new, maybe they have decided to borrow some new techniques from A.I. research. I will tell you when i've finished my A.I. degree in 2 years

Nothing Peter Molyneux promised has ever lived up to his own hype, so why would this be any different?

I don't know why the industry keeps pandering to him. OK, so he invented the god sim, but that's almost twenty years ago...

Fable was ok. Though it kinda played like an MMO, without the MMO part (if that makes any sense). Which because of that it got boring after a while. But it was nothing like he was boasting back when it was a year away from release on the Xbox.

He makes good games though. Just not amazing and groundbreaking games like he thinks he does.
