iPod Nano investigated for fire risk

The Japanese Ministry of Trade is asking Apple to investigate reports that the popular iPod Nano is prone to overheating while charging that can cause the battery to ignite.

Not really a surprise when you consoider the energy density of modern batteries. You put that much raw wattage into a small space, plus extras when charging, and if something goes wrong, it all goes somewhere.
