CPU Backplate question?
Hi guys,
Doing a new build and im installing a water cooling kit and it comes with a backplate needed for the Intel cpu. I have fitted it to the back of the mb, but im a bit concerned that it may short the board between the backplate and the Case? Is this this case? should i try putting something in between the two? The water cooling kit is a Gigabtye Galaxy 2 and the mb is a xfx 790i in a coolermaster cosmos case. Any help? |

If you can get a real thin sheet of plastic, you should be able to place it in between the case and backplate.
Just tape/glue the piece of plastic to the backplate. |
