OK, so thought I'd give it a try again now with the new XSi for this month's POTM. Didn't have much time, but played some today with the final moments of the sun... too bad it's much moved to the right than 2 weeks ago, but oh well, gotta work with what we find!! I'm posting 4 options, I'd like some help in deciding!! So far I'm most inclined to shot #3... it would be better without that black post breaking the sky... but tried to eliminate in cs3, and since I suck, well, it didn't look so good... will try to get it done though!!

Number one and number four are my favorites.

hmmmm... after closer looks I realized that what I like about #3 is the lighting, but the sun's position in #4 makes more sense in the shot... so I turned brightness down a little and increased the vibrance a bit (you gotta love RAW :thumb:) for that yellow-ish tone that #3 already had... I like it much better now, what do you guys think?

Wow, i would have picked number 4 from your originals, but that retweaked sample is really nice. Good Job! (I would still try and clone out that post)

Wow loving number 4, and really like adjustments.

Only thing which might be worth doing is photoshopping out the little distracting bit middle left of the frame, but tis personal opinion.

That was my intention from the beginning, although I really didn't trust my cs3 capabilities (I plain suck at it). Anyways, never give up!! I tried my best in cloning that stuff out. I think it looks better now, but maybe I'm fooling my eyes and the cs3 tweaks are obvious... any opinions?

This last version looks good. Best of the crop. Without the post it suddenly comes together. :thumb:

The last version works well, the colours fit in with the theme lovely.

Nice, it is a lot better without that pesky post!
