Beautiful use of macro. Color contrast and diffuse gives it almost water painting texture. Very nice shot!
I'm pressed to see the connection to the theme though... As a side note I thought spring was 2 months ago?

The idea behind the theme was that the sight of blossoming tulips is an indication of the good weather ahead.
However, having to point that out maybe means the connection was weaker than I thought.
