Eight former AOL execs - both from before and after the merger with Time Warner - stand accused of inflating advertising revenue.

Crappy service, crappy software, crappy execs (Apparently).

AOL BROWSER cheesecake!!!

God, I hated that thing with a passion.

I think we still owe AOL about £15 from *Counts on fingers* 7 years ago. That was our very first internet connection. 24.7 Blazing Kbps... I hate living in the country sometimes.

god i wish AOL would just die. My grandparents use them and they're always complaining their internet doesn't bloody work right. I mean, it's their fault, we set them up with a fairly decent ISP to begin with then they changed to AOL v_v

I have Time Warner as my ISP, but AOL is no part of it, thank god. Apparently, some of us don't get the shaft. AOL FTL!

AOL was my ISP until.. errmmm, counts on fingers.. yesterday. Was with them for 10 frickin years, unbelievable. I never had much of a problem with them. But I don't think AOL UK were never as bad as the US side, a couple of months ago they got sold to Carphone Warehouse and then connection speed/reliability took a bit of a nose dive. End of April my phone exchange was up graded to ADSL2 by Be* so now I'm with them. Been ok so far.
When I rang to try and get my MAC code they did the pitchin and begging thing to stay, but they weren't very good. The bloke was going on about 8Mbit vs 24mbit (though he said bytes) {Indian accent} "How fast is that really? 8000 bytes when you blink your eye, that's plenty enough, we have fastest connection, 8"
I found a page with their new customer's deals so I said if they give me a PS3 for free (other deal was a laptop) and offer me the starter prices then I'll stay. Weird, they didn't want my custom any longer... I've asked the same for phone contracts and they never give you new customer deals, they would rather lose your money. Very weird business practices.
