OCZ Fatal1ty memory, new flash drives, keyboards

http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2008/06...es-keyboards/1

COMPUTEX 2008: Branching out into ever more areas, OCZ has today signed Fatal1ty, while also expanding its line of Flash drives and more.

Can someone please give OCZ a ring and tell them the whole "Fatal1ty" branding thing has been flogged to death.

Thanks to Wendel being a product-endorsement whore, you can now build a whole system just out of various "Fatal1ty" products.

Who buys these crap products? They always have exactly the same performance as the the non-"Fatal1ty" products, but painted black and a 20-30% price premium on top.
When I see "Fatal1ty" products in the rigs in forum signatures on hardware sites, those who buy this stuff are invariably jerk-offs flashing their ePeens.

Completely true, Adnoctum. Slapping Fatal1ty onto a product has the opposite effect on me that they're expecting.

I mean, he's not even the best anymore. Come on.

To me, Fatal1ty sounds like those cheap b fightmovies called street fighter and such. And then putting the name fatality on your hardware sounds like it will last a few minutes before it will fatally die before your eyes. "yeah it was a fatal blow, see the smoke rising from the smd's over there in the corner...."

And what if the next big elite gamer has the nick "D1PSH1T" or "DOA" or "BROKEN"

Makes you wonder...

God I hope they release it as 'bullet proof'.

I want to see some gun nuts shooting it with a .50 or something

Sadly I own a Fatal1ty X-fi because creative stopped selling the non-Fatal1ty version

Some day you'll see JarOfAlmonds based products.... someday, maybe a real jar of almonds for gamers.... not really

Hahahahaha

And then 'gun nuts' makes a gazillion dollar claim because the motherboard, and i quote: 'was not bulletproof and now his cat ,who was hiding behind the board, is now dead' when he was demonstrating the bulletproof mobo to his drinking buddy's with a few well aimed rounds from his beloved Desert Eagle called Thelma.

As an avid gamer for the last 3 decades of my life i can safely say with my hand on my heart that i don't give a toss about hardware
branded with some gamers name on it.

However....

I really like the "Alchemy" keyboard. Does it have laptop-style keys, or normal ones?
