Saitek Cyborg Gaming Mouse

http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/2008/...gaming-mouse/1

The Saitek Cyborg mouse certainly leaves an impression with it's unusual look and feature-packed shell. Billed as the ultimate in customisation thanks to its scroll wheel tweaks and new dynamic ergonomics, the Cyborg hopes to be the ultimate peripheral. But is it?

there is a reason why the MX510 and the old I.E 3.0 are still appreciated by a lots of gamers. Maybe they should to try and learn from this instead of trying to sell us their BS products that look like they came right from a bad 80's sci-fi movie ...

Wow, its like someone saw the Sidewinder mouse and thought "HEY! I CAN MAKE A MOUSE UGLIER THAN THAT!"
And then they did it.
And it sucked.

Agreed on the MX510 love. I think the mouse industry is actually going to have some trouble tbh - mice last for years and once you've found "the one" for you there is very little reason to change. The only reason I'd get rid of my MX510 would be because it broke, and I'd be replacing it with a 518 (a clone basically).

I just replaced the gimmicky Logitech G5 with the steelseries Ikari after the right mouse button inexplicably stopped working. This thing is so much better, it's quite ergonomical and the DPI selection is much better than the three preset settings on the G5.

Can't see why I'd want something that looks like its made from Lego after using this sleek little thing.

lol, thats exactly what i've done. The one addition the 518 has over the 510 is adjustbale dpi, useful in bf when flying, assualt or sniping i find. it just fits soooooo perfectly. But this mouse will sell as you guys have said with the cs 1.6, a market only needs to be identified for a product to sell.

peace

I actualy quite like the looks... not very inotative as far as saitec go though. A few years ago they had a mouse that used force feedback to give each button a different feel and my joystick is ludicrously configurable to virtualy any humanoid hand. I see why they are making things other than sticks though as there are very few stick games around anymore.. (this upsets me freespace 2 with force feedback is isane fun) (for those who haven't experaince proper force feedback (rumble dosen't count) you have missed out).

this mouse really isnt that complicated it does take a bit to get used to the feeling of it and whoever said something about there palm not fitting it well should not be plaing games if they palm there mouse...anyway the mouse is easy to program. there software and drivers are so much better then razer's (it works in different usb ports). the feet on it r very nice and i use most of the buttons depending on the game (profile) of it. the binds range from server admin commands to making little kids feel bad for sucking.

and there is a keyboard Squadexodus, i had to get bc my orignal Saitek keybard crapped out when i spilled a beer on it (go figure) i think its much better quality then the mouse though

thanks for making the request happen joe, this is exactly the reason I hoped for a bit-tech review before investing any money in the thing.

the saitek sticks may be good, but looks like they need to work on their mouse department
