Though I've never played the expansion of DS2...

I loved the hack and slash DS series with all those hidden things and cool loot to get. And the Pack mule afcourse...

I enjoyed the first one but got board with the second one and never went back to finish it. The linear approach is what started to turn me off from it. You had a very forced path to open up each area. I think it would work better with a sandbox approach (Elder Scrolls style). Let me figure out where stuff is and how to get there instead of leading me along. I guess I'll have to see this one before I decided on it.

DS2 was great and DS1 was good for the time, looking forwards to DS3 though I always did like the party managment.
