2K Games has today announced that it will be releasing a new Civ expansion this year - and one that will be stand alone as well!

Im getting bored to be honest. I just want Civ 5!!! Not all this expansion crap as that just tells me they dont know what to put in civ 5 so they are dragging civ 4 out for as long as possible.

Colonization was a stand alone game more than 15 years ago.
I loved the original in DOS (fantastic music), and played it for years with passion. Same passion I have for Civ IV GO Sid Bring Alpha Centuri too.

I got Colonization to work under xp. Brought back loads of memories. All I need to do now is dig out the installation disks again...

I've loved the Civ series since the first one, including Alpha Centauri, but the original Colonization was terrible. I only hope this is a departure.

I was always hoping that somebody would do to alpha centauri what they are doing with these new civ games.
