Gigabyte Nan-Ping Factory Tour

http://www.bit-tech.net/bits/2008/06...factory-tour/1

Gigabyte recently invited bit-tech and a few other international journalists to visit one of its factories in Nan-Ping. Read on to find out exactly where that Gigabyte P45 board you want to buy comes from.

Yeah definitely - almost like an episode of how it's made. Without the horrendous forced jokes.

I can attest that putting your finger in between a chain and sprocket is NOT a good idea. Especially when it's attached to a motorbike.

I would so love to get hold of a mobo before it has the parts put into it and use it as a mouse mat

Thats a great idea, maybe i will strip down an old motherboard by desoldering every pin and the poor a plastic transparent coating on on side for the mouse to rest on. Or maybe this is to much work and ends up in a mess... who knows.

Reminds me of the tour that PCSTATS did - check out their page 9 for some amazing photos of the automated warehouse - it's huge!

I've already got a motherboard drinks mat coaster. Very nice. loads of places sell them, mousematts, book covers all sorts.

A quick google gave me this: www.motherboardgifts.net

I would really like to see similar tours for other manufacturers, particularly ASUS. This might be the next step in decided who the hell to buy from.

Very very cool. I would love to go there myself and just have a nose around, though I don't think they would take too kindly to it.

Oh yeah. I assume you don't just flick through images, you like to study them instead.
