Bioware, the developer behind NWN, KOTOR and other initials, is looking to develop games for the PSP and Wii.

"...if you compare it to a PC, it's like hardware from 14 years ago."

But it is not a PC, it is a console. It should be looked at as such because you develop differently when it is a console. Of coarse if you look at it like that then it is hardware from 11 years ago rather than 14. I can see their point, but you would think that would just make it easier. The game does not need to be nearly as complex.

Yes, but what he was getting at was the fact that they are PC developers and now switching to console example DS, which for them is like going back in time 14 years and now have to think small and simple. Its harder to go backwards because of the restrictions, which they are not used to. But once they getting going it will become easy again.

The DS is a handheld... how much power do they expect from a small compact gaming system? I think it does a darn good job for what it is. My girlfriend loves her DS Lite. After this weekend's shopping trip she now has around 20 games for it. Some she hasn't cared for as much as others, but she has been able to trade some off for games she likes with one of her co-workers. I'd like to try out some of the games myself, but she is always playing it.
