it's like the membership to the gym. it's a good intention but very few people stick to it. those who do reap the benefits. those who dont...well they just blew their cash.

Is this not generally indicative of the Wii in general?
From what I've heard, people tend to play it quite a bit when they first get one, then after that it doesn't get used until they get reminded that they have it, or have a few friends over.

I'd be more interested in the Wii Fit if it weren't for what I want to achieve. It doesn't seem to cater to my goals what so ever, having tried a friends out.

This really doesn't surprise me... If there was a MUCH wider range of activities.. even downloadable ones, people wouldn't get bored of it so quickly.

I think because the game was designed with regular use in mind.

It's exactly like Brain Training, really.. most people will play it a few times and then leave and never come back because they've unlocked everything and played all the activities/minigames they like most to death.

I joined a gym at the beginning of June and lots 6 kilograms in the month, I would very impressed if someone lost 6 kilograms using a wii. I go 6 days a week for average 1:30 hours.

True.. but I don't think Nintendo want a lot of hate for making loads of people lose weight FAR too quickly.. For a lot of people (mostly those who really need to lose it) 6kg is far too much to lose in a month, that's unhealthy.

What do you expect? Ultimately it's only a game. I imagine that if you did play Wii Fit for 1.5 hours a day, 6 days a week then the results would be noticeable but it'd get boring... much like the gym tbh!

I've only played this game 3 or 4 times since buying it at launch... give me mario kart any day!

its all hype, the whole wii thing, anyone that sees it wants it and once they have it they don't use it anymore. Its a real consumer product. Just like the Iphone. Everyone wants it and when you use it, you cant do **** with it.

Yep, completely agree.

I got the Wii back when it first hit the UK shops. Wow, neat, says I. After a week I was just plain bored with it. It's not a console for serious gamers -- it's a novelty or party piece and that's about the limitation of it. Yes, it has a fairly nifty UI but even that has become quite common now, with Sony looking to bring out their own equivilant and I'm sure so are M$ (or have they? not sure..)

I sold my Wii 2 weeks after I got it for more than I bought it for.. So I guess there's was some good to come out of it

I actually put my Wii Fit down shortly after I got it because it was right before my vacation and wedding. I was far too busy to be playing games and now that I'm back I fully intend to get back on it. I used to work out in the field but now I'm in an office and gaining weight lol.
